And lately I have found the work of Robert O. Young, who I suspect takes us a good way toward just such an understanding. I might characterize Dr.

Young’s hypotheses as complicated and yet straightforward. On one hand, he’s a respected biological analyst who knows the chemistry of the body, but on the other, he has reduced these complexities to a straightforward understanding that there is only 1 illness that ever troubles humans, and just one cure. I’d add, too that there’s only 1 diet, which clears up all of the issues of body weight problems and why the usual methods of dieting do not work, and healthy weight upkeep.

That truth is this : health can be measured in one basic way, whether our tissues are way more acidic in PH or even more alkaline. And that condition is determined largely by the sorts of foods we eat. You see, when the foodstuff we eat are utilized by our cells, they leave an ash that’s either acid or alkaline. If it is alkaline, it is simply handled by the body and kept in balance. But if it is acid, it is intensely toxic and throws the body into stress and eventual illness and decline. What’s dazzling is that Dr. Young broadens this truth to incorporate the bigger image of what occurs during human illness — including both infective illnesses and such lingering infirmities as arteriosclerosis, cancer, and AIDS — and how germs and microbes all fit into this process. To start with, Dr.

Young explains the lacks of the Germ Speculation of illness complicated by Louis Pasteur, which basically states that we are living in a world where perilous bugs exist out there that will occupy our bodies, overpower our defenses, and kill us. Current systematic proof presented by Dr. Young shows something else. Microbes live in our bodies all of the time, and change form into bacteria, viruses, yeast, or mildew as the internal environment changes. In healthy bodies these microbes are inactive, or have positive roles in cell and gene repair .
