A question about Miracle Fruit?

Chuck Norris asked:

Hi I am thinking about buying a Miracle Fruit tree. My questions are:

1. Is it feasible to grow them in So Cal. this time of year and on?
2. How’s the maintenance?
3. What’s this pH stuff I have to add to the soil? Where and how do I get and apply it.
4. Does the tree grow easily?
5. Ok because i know almost everyone to answer this will be from a website where can i get a tree that is healthy and gives berries for under 70$ (with shipping).

Thank you

I spilled Miracle-Gro Potting Soil Mix in my REEF AQUARIUM, what should I expect?

Matt asked:

I have a 72g with a 20 gallon sump setup as a saltwater coral reef tank. I grow plants above my sump and ended up knocking a small plant pot over and about 1/2 cup of Miracle grow fell into my sump. I tried to get as much out before it circulated through my tank but some still made it to the display. How is this stuff going to affect my tank?

The ingredients of the soil are as follows:
Total Nitrogen – 0.21%(0.12% ammoniacal nitrogen & 0.09% nitrate nitrogen) Available Phosphate – 0.07% Soluable Potash – 0.14%.

I tested my Nitrates Amonia and PH about 20 minutes after I cleaned it all out of the sump. Nitrate 20ppm, Ammonia 0, PH 8.2. Not sure if the 20ppm nitrate is from the soil or not as I have been putting off doing a water change for over 2 weeks. I have chaeto/macroalgae in the sump and it’s supposed to help remove the nitrates. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am going to do a 20% water change tonight once I pick up some salt.

I have 2 small chromis, 2 small clowns, lawnmower blenny, cleaner shrimp, 2 peppermint shrimp, and a pistol shrimp that resides in the sump. 80lbs of sand, 75lbs of LR. All sand and rock was cured for at least 3 years before it made it to my tank. My tank is currently six months old. I have about 30 different corals, mostly softies and couple pieces of LPS and SPS. Please Help.
I have a bag of chemi pure (which is a high grad carbon) in my sump and its about a month old. Supposed to last 6 months. I will pick up a fresh bag to add to it.

Why is the marijuana plant yellowing (chloriosis I believe)?

Jamshid F asked:

My friend, shall we say, has a young clone purple kush plant. This plant was provided miracle grow soil (which now is mixed with native soil and was washed as to try to remove excess nutrients), recieves abundant light, water…. Im thinking Ph or miracle grow is causing the yellowness all over? Will the plant make it further? The small leaves that have just recently come are bright green and fresh.

The best Forget-Me-Not water/soil: Alkaline, Acidic, or Neutral?

nenengthegreat asked:

I have these Forget-Me-Not seeds. I want to plant them. I have this really good Miracle Grow soil to use. And I also have this water system that changes the pH level of the water. I want my Forget-Me-Nots to grow great, but I’m not sure what pH level is best. Alkaline, Acidic, or just plain Neutral?

Oh yeah, and I’m growing them in Southwest America. It’s pretty hot here, and it’s also summer. Do you think they’ll grow pretty well?

Thanks!

Do you have to use ph up and Down?

Fishy asked:

Are there any common household items that will lower and raise you ph in your fish tank? I heard miracle grow works but what about lemon juice or something? Thanks for the help.
My natural ph is really high. I was just wondering what would lower it. There are no fish in the tank yet either.

How can I grow great strawberries?

shojo asked:

I live in Zone 7, and this is my first time trying to grow strawberries. I’ve had a few so far, and they are tiny, about the size of a dime. They are fully formed, perfect little miniature strawberries. They’re pretty tart too. I’ve let them ripen on the plant. I tried Miracle Grow. Is there a certain ph the soil should be? Is there any way to grow good, larger strawberries? Is my zone just not a strawberry zone?

what ph level is miracle grow potting mix?

Tom B asked:

Why would ppis stop working?

STownboy29 asked:

I have been on PPIs for 4 years (nexium, aciphex, now protonix). The medicine has been a miracle. However, the last few months I had a few real bad days and now, for the last 30 days, I ve had constant heartburn/burning/gnawing pain in upper ab and chest. I’ve undergone a few tests this week, ph and manometry and Im waiting for the results. However, I checked the ph often and it was never below 4 so I think the ppi is helping with acid but NOT with my symptoms. I also dont remember the gnawing feeling any other time until the latest flair-up. Has my disease taken a turn for the worse?
